Cozy

Last night I went to bed at 7.30.

So did my husband.

So did the boys.

We were all in their room, in their beds. Me and the little guy in the bottom bunk, Mr. Kiss and my 5 year old in the top. The top bunk. Of twin bunk beds. Mr. Kiss is 6'4". Yah.

Even the dog was in the room. All of us, in a 12x14 foot bedroom.

There were dishes in the sink. Dirty pots on the stove. Fine, one pot - I made mac & cheese. Whatever. There was unfolded laundry on the couch. And a load in each the washer and dryer.

Guess what?

I left it all.

We all went to bed at 7.30.

All of us, in one room.

Everything I needed within 10 feet of me.

I may just try it again tonight.

Ha, I have e-mail now :)
My husband was just telling me that we could live in less space ... I'm not showing him this as an option.
But it did sound cosy ... and in bed by 7.30?
That would be like two nights sleep!!!

Why? Did something happen in the rest of the house? You didn't try to cook again, did you?

Awwwww, what a very sweet way to fall asleep! Me? I lay there until I can hear them all snoring away and then I sneak off downstairs to watch tv.

I love Moooooog.
And your night, sounds heavenly. We did the whole family nap thing on Sunday and yes, we were all kinds of happy cozy.

Isn't this how we all do it? Pass out under a community blanket?

Just me?

Never mind.

In bed by 7:30 that is amazing. My kids never go to bed that early. Good for you for letting go of the dishes and the laundry to spend time with your family. It is hard to do as moms but our family loves the extra time with us.

Um that this sounds amazing especially considering the fact that my child is in his crib screaming his guts off right now...

I've missed you Momma Kiss. This is the reason why our four-year-old still sleeps with us. Something I said I would never do. But something changes when you realize he's the last baby you will have and time is flying by. My husband says he is out when he starts growing hair on his legs.

And I bet you had the sweetest dreams, didn't you? Although I wake up sore and achy, I find that when the kid is next to me, I'm very content.

This I love.
Isn't it great forgetting about mundane chores?
Just don't forget to shower. Showering is important.

Good for you!! I love snuggling the babies to sleep. All that other crap can wait. No one on their deathbed ever said "I wish my house had been cleaner."

We don't start out sleeping together, but we always wind up that way. I kind of like it, pig piled together.

Until I feel rickety when I get out of bed.

Rest up!

We regularly have "sleep overs" in our room with the kids. I know they'll eventually think it's lame, so I really enjoy it while they are disillusioned into thinking that their parents are cool people. However, I make them sleep on the floor on nice fluffy blankets. I'd get punched in the eye or kicked in the kidneys if I didn't. My kids are wild creatures in their sleep.
