All I need

Found these just now, as I was going to bed.

They're from my 5 year old. Well, I'm assuming because the Little Kiss can't quite cut with scissors yet.

This kid has always known how to get to me.

He frustrates me, woos me, entertains me, loves me.

Tonight he melted me. Again.

Little turd.

My son (15 months) has a habit of pushing every button and getting on every last nerve...yet, just before the point where I'll truly lose my shit, he'll break out a huge smile and come toddling to me for a hug. As he learns to speak (and his little sister gets in on the act), I see this only getting worse. This made me melt. Thanks for sharing

That is obnoxiously sweet. I have completely melted in the cuteness of that. We've got some dangerous boys, you & I. Boo does stuff like that too.

I fear the days when Boo figures out how other applications of that talent can work for him. Like when he's a teenager. I'm pre-ordering a taser in case he brings home any skanks...LoL

Somehow, kids seem to know when mom & dad have a lot going on. When I'm most stressed and about to lose it, D1 comes sits in my lap, gives me a kiss and says, "I love you."

But then there are other times when I'm stressed and she helps put me over the edge. Little turd indeed.

Aww... Homemade valentines are the absolute best, aren't they?
I found one a few years ago in a box of old photos that I had made for my mother when I was little. I framed it and gave it back to her for Valentine's that year. She was over the moon!

These kids. Even though they drive you to the brink of insanity, they know exactly how to make you love them and stuff. Gah!

So sweet. My 6yo once asked before bedtime if I was going to go on the computer after she went to bed. I said like "maybe, brush your teeth already". She made me a card and put it on the keyboard for me to find.

So... what you're saying is the best way to get in your heart/pants is little cut out hearts?

'Cause I'm willing and own scissors.

I love moments like that. The Hare tucked a note in my purse last week that said,

"Dear Mom, I love ya! What more could I get from ya? Nothing! Your're that good at being my mom that I want to see you every day."
