Momma Kiss

If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!

There are things...

There are things.

Things that need to be done. Like cleaning the spare room. And printing pictures, from 2009. And making the collages for the 2010 Christmas gifts. And exercise more. And dry cleaning to be picked up. And schedules to be managed, so that I can get to A's doc appointment tomorrow and skate with my hockey-loving 5 year old. And work-busy-time to be figured out. Things...

There are words.

Words that need to be said. By phone. By thank you note. By seeing a face. Words...

There are prayers.

Prayers for my girl A. Prayers for my momma. Prayers for a friend, who's co-worker almost died in a car accident. Prayers for a friend dealing with depression. Prayers.

I've said the prayers. That's the easy part. Me & God, we're tight. But the rest. Well, here I sit, typing online. It's like I wake up and am thankful I'm alive for one more day and then it's bedtime and I'm thinking "where the hell did that day just go?"

Anyone? Can you motivate me? No?

Oh, I hear ya. Man, you have had SO much to think about, not much time to focus on yourself, and that sure makes the days crazy and unfocused sometimes.

Thinking of you, my are such a great friend to A, a great mommy, and just hang in there.

Every day a whole list rolls over to the next. It's just a blessing we have another day to take care of things.

Hope you have a productive week. It's a good start being tight with God, right?

Ugh... if you find some motivation, send some my way please. I have a shitload of stuff to do and the list gets longer every day.

I think I need the St. Anthony prayer to help me find my motivation. So glad to read another woman I admire suffer from the same missing days that I do.
My only consolation is that I just finished a task for my dear friend and it makes me smile.
Love you my friend.

Yeah . . . I make a daily TO-Do list. Every day, without fail. And I cross off things that I get accomplished as I do them. Problem is, I start adding stupid crap onto it so I feel like I'm getting somewhere:: showered: check combed hair: check ate:: check etc. Then the real stuff is still at the top just hanging out.

I think we all get overwhelmed with life sometimes. I know I sure do. And things always get better. Just keep that strong relationship going with the man upstairs and take it one day at a time and all the pieces will eventually fall into place.

The dry cleaning can wait, the spare room will still be there when you get back.. take care of what's really important.. that's what matters most.

Hey thanks. She's gonna be ok. Like A will.

And I hear ya. I can't motivate ya though.

I don't have to go to 'work' til next Monday, but somehow, in my head, every minute of every day from now til then is already filled...

You are motivated, and you are doing the most important things.

The rest will always be there...the cleaning, the laundry, all of it.

Right now, the prayers are needed first.

I can motivate you. But by 'motivate' I mean something completely different.

Let me know when you're free. My motivational seminars make house calls.

You've got a lot on your plate! It's very understandable why you feel this way. But you'll figure it out. Maybe a few days of listlessness and you'll be raring to go again.

I think it's called coffee...or meth...or both.
Life is crazy and can be extremely overwhelming but the fact that you're stopping to pray is a good thing. I wish I did that.

Hi Dammit :)

Overwhelmed is the feeling du jour. It's insane how much needs to be done. I wonder why we women tend to be the ones drowning in To Dos.

Focus on the family. Focus on you. Focus on good thoughts and prayers for others. The mundane will get done eventually.

You're asking ME to motivate you?? I take it you haven't read my post yet today... motivation wasn't in the cards. Sorry. But, good luck with that! :)

Ha! I was just saying how there is always too much to do.

I need to stop a minute for my prayers today.

I'm not motivated. At all.

Praying is good, though. Probably the most important.

Why did you mention the pictures? The pictures!!!! I bought 2 Groupons for Shutterfly. I have to make two photobooks by November 22nd or something like that. This is a huge task for me. I have sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many pictuers on Shutterfly from way before 2009 that need a photobook. I'm now hyperventilating. I'm sorry wasn't any help.

And, BTW, I'll never be famous. If by some miracle I DO become know I will remember you, MommaKiss. Ha! It's fun to dream...

Oh, I hear you. Some days (or most for me), I think "what on earth did I accomplish today?"

I try to give myself points for the little things: hey I did one load of laundry, made dinner, and all the kids are safely home from school and fed...that is actually a lot. Add work and everything else and you've done more than you think!

Hope you have a wonderful week :)

You wanna come over here and pack up my house and be ready to move two days after Christmas? That's what I'm procrastinating right now. Yah.

It is is horrible to say that after reading your comment and everyone else's...I at least feel a little bit normal? My entire house, with the exception of my husband, has been sick with everything for over a week! NOTHING is getting done! My house is a mess...which makes me feel even more sick when I look at it, I have furniture that needs to be taken to my booth to sell, I just got a letter stating that I'm supposed to decorate my booth for Christmas by this weekend...I still have Halloween decorations up! Laundry is everywhere...clean and well as the dishes! The only thing I have been doing consistently is cuddling with my kids while they are sick. Once I stop and remember, although it doesn't always feel that way at the time, that is my most important job and I'm getting it done. Sounds like your doing the most important thing too! Good luck!

If you find the motivation send it my way. Life is a bit daunting these days with goals I am trying to attain for me while still being momma and wife and friend and all those other one million and so things that make up a woman's life. Good luck. You can do it. We all can because we're women.

If you find the motivation, would you mind throwing some my way? You said it so well - it's all about surviving the day-to-day and details be damned! PS - I love that you and your kid play hockey. My husband is sooo ready to get the Chalupa on skates next year.

Maybe it's in the water.

Maybe we just do too much.

Man! That's how my last 2 months have "to do" list is exploding, but I'm constantly doing crap! WIth 4 kids, hubby working FT and coaching (which, lets face it, is another FT job!), I'm chasing my tail...and by 8:30 I'm too pooped to party! I'm not old by any stretch of the imagination but the exhaustion is killing me. How on earth does one squeeze more out of the day...because I already seem to be doing EVERYTHING??!!
