Good Wife

My husband e-mailed this to me.

No words. No subject line. Just the picture. With the little circled bit at the bottom.

My simple reply was:
"I know my place.  And if you expect any of the above to happen, it's a place you won't be visiting any time soon."

Amen Momma! The Hubs would find his place over my knee if he sent that to me.
But then he'd like it.

That third bullet takes on a whole new meaning today: "Be a little gay and a little more interesting to him."

I'm pretty sure they weren't talking girl-on-girl in 1955.

Love your reply to him!

Oh, I don't know. It doesn't sound that bad to me.

Guess I'd better be careful what I say here before I get run off by a mob of angry women with mops and featherdusters.

I like no. 3: "Be a little gay and a little more interesting for him'.

I had no idea they were so broad-minded in the 50s

Oh sorry I just read back through the comments and realised I nicked Ellie's.

Sorry Ellie. Originality never was my strong suit

Ah, that is so funny, you know in most cases men (husbands) just don't seem to realize that we are still sort of that person....I am proud to say that we have fallen out of the maid category though. The subserviant woman. And that is why that was published in 1955. We have grown into such blooming flowers, where we can make decissions for ourself and our family! It's a good day, it's a great century to live in. WE DON"T NEED MEN! Ah, that is awesome isn't, we can make more money then them, we can be as promiscuious as them, we can bare children without them, we can sexually endulge ourselves without them. We are women, hear us roar. lol

That article is from 1955!

Any newspaper published something like that today, they would probably get sued...

I am surprised he would send it to you.
