A Moment.

My children are going to murder each other.

I'm about to give one of them help.

KIDDING. Come on, I actually do love my kids.

But today, the two of them were on my LAST nerve and we needed to get the hell out of dodge. I packed a little lunch in my [fab] purse slash shoulder bag and we walked to the park. They were still picking on each other on the way, but once we got there and they had some food and a change of scenery, life was pretty much kosher.

So they're running around and going up the slide and down the mesh ladder and I seriously had a moment. Watching them when they aren't sure I'm watching. Being there when they sneak a peek at me to make sure I saw them almost crack their head open. Catching them stick up for each other when the bigger kids are trying to goad them into being brats.

Those are my kids. I made those humans. And I did a kick ass job, by the way. They're caring, beautiful little creatures. Inside and out. I'm thankful that they tell me they love me best and will take care of me when I'm drooling and in diapers, just like I did for them.

Payback, kids. Payback.

You're a smart mama. I should have taken my kids somewhere today. B/c they were all going to kill each other and I was ready to go hide in my closet and not come out until there was a winner. Hey, my closet is pretty big...

Awe - moments like that are sweet - yes, you're doing a kick ass job! I told my kids today that I was going to have to ship one off to Grandma's house to live if they didn't start getting along. Funny - they weren't so concerned about LEAVING home. They were more concerned about WHICH GRANDMA. (Don't think they really got it. Ah, well.) Great post!

I would have brought wine with me. But, my luck I would have been too drunk to see all of the little moments you got a hold of.

Kidding.

I don't drink *that* much.

well put.

how smart of you to know when to get up and get out of the house - it is always easier for some reasons once we walk outside, i don't know why i ever hesitate to leave.

Aw...I love rare moments of sap amongst the snark. Every now and then, we need to put our glass of wine down and say, "we made something really cool."

I had quite the opposite experience today.

Mine was more of a "how fast can I get to the Caribbean before they notice I'm gone" kinda moment...

Seriously... Anyone know how quickly I can get there?

Those are my favorite moments, and always pop up when you least expect it....which makes them even more special.

Awww....
And, heh heh heh when we are drooling and in diapers.
All's fair in the circle of life. And when I'm old, I plan on pooping... a lot.

No matter how crazy they act in the house as long as they have each others back outside that's what matters.

At least thats what my 7 siblings and I tried to convince OUR parents of as we tried to kill each other.

ya ya, but let's see the fab purse/shoulder bag! It's all fun and games until the mother isn't properly accessorized!

Gotta love those moments because they are disproportionately few compared to the crap ones!

I know those moments all to well, the ones where the kids are on your last nerve. It's always nice to have a moment like this follow!

P.S. I clicked over from Handbags and Handguns!
